How we started

Born from the journey of motherhood, to support yours.

Our journey began in October 2024 with something simple, a few casual walks to test the area and see if mothers were interested in coming together. We tried different days and times, following the rhythm of family life, to find what truly worked.

When winter arrived, our walks moved indoors. We gathered for cozy coffee mornings at HEMA, where conversations flowed easily, and mothers found comfort in being together. Over time, we realized how much these moments mattered: the simple act of showing up, connecting, and sharing made a difference.

By summer, it was clear that these meetups were more than just gatherings. The interest was steady, and the sense of community was growing. So, we decided to give them more structure and expand across the area. We now meet regularly in Bussum and Hilversum, and the response has been heartwarming. Some midwifery practices are even endorsing our meetups, and more and more mothers are finding us through their recommendations.

This is a beautiful example of how community truly works: when families, professionals, and local networks come together for the wellbeing of mothers.

Our mission moving forward is to continue supporting mothers, strengthening these connections, and expanding our reach through new initiatives like Your Village in a Box.
